The headache of May, accompanied by Tristan Allen.

Giving up on this piece for tonight, possibly for forever.

It feels really good to be painting/creating again, I haven’t made any art in months, and nothing nonacademic in almost a year.

I’m much less jazzed about it now that I’ve run out of energy, but I had a lot of thoughts tonight. I’ve been kind of in a funk with figuring out life.

YEAH OFF IS KIND OF WEIRD in that it laid low for roughly 6 years and it recently was translated to english and spread around the web, so now it’s got like a cult following. I’ve actually not even finished the game yet myself, because I am too stupid to do it without a walkthrough and it only plays fullscreen, that and my copy is glitched because of windows to mac conversions, but it is a dang solid RPG with interesting characters, cool art, and a solid soundtrack, and it’s all free! So all that combined with the creative community online spreading it like wildfire it’s no wonder it caught on.

I know most of the story and I already cosplayed Zach for PAX but I mostly enjoy it because of my friends who draw and roleplay it. Otherwise I don’t participate all that much in the fandom. I do like it though!

I’m in the deciding stage of cosplaying Sugar from off and after taking these photos it’s pretty much a done deal lmao except for one thing.

Mostly I’m worried though because I feel like my boobs are too big to cosplay sugar

i have less than a month to raise $700 bucks for a security deposit ehh. luckily my boyfriend starts his job tomorrow, but his first paycheck won’t be anything close to that so i’m a little nervous. all of my paychecks are going towards food and a savings i have to pay off the first month’s rent.
i don’t know how many commissions i’ll be able to do before then, but i thought i’d make an updated post anyway to try and raise the money. those are the minimum prices i’m asking for, they will probably be higher depending on detail/characters/background/etc! Donations are always appreciated too, of course. Aaaanything helps.

You know I’m on Amy’s side.

Wanting to help out the victims of a horrendous tragedy is all well and good. People in the area should look into volunteering to donate blood, help where the city needs it, and look into charities who are working with the health care facilities helping the victims and victims’ families.

The Homestuck fandom has been known to do some amazing things. The vast majority is populated with some kickass people who have helped those in need seemingly all over the globe. Wanting to help, and being a Homestuck, is ok.

But please dear god can we wait one fucking day.

Exploitation of tragedy to inflate a personal sense of being a well to do do-gooder is deplorable. I’ve had to deal with the senseless ass patting exploitation of tragedy all day today, and I’m in New York.

If you want to help, awesome, in fact, please do. But god damn it use your brain and don’t jump off the ledge like lemmings caught up in the initial wave of excitement of the thought of being a good person.

I think we can wait one day before we have a fucking picnic and we all collect cans and dress up in costume and have a nice afternoon and help out at the same time.

We can wait until the fucking blood is off the street and the victims are stable and healing until we turn a tragedy into something the Homestuck fandom can latch onto and feel good about for helping.
